Every certification number is real and checkable.
Enter the certification number from your provenance card. We cross-reference it against NPIA records and return the full fibre specification, weaver, and origin data for that piece. If a number does not return a result, contact us directly — we will investigate.

What the certification covers

The Chyangra Pashmina Trademark is administered by the Pashmina Industry Development Committee (NPIA) of Nepal — an independent standards body. It is not self-certified, not brand-certified, and not purchasable.

It verifies fibre origin, fibre diameter tested against the 16 micron threshold, that processing was hand-done in Nepal, and that the supply chain is traceable from herder to finished product.

What it does not cover

The certification verifies fibre origin and physical properties. It does not independently verify artisan income, working conditions, or environmental practices.

REIN addresses these separately through its artisan documentation and earnings disclosure programme. Artisan income per piece is a specific figure, published on every product page. It is not a percentage claim and it is not an average.


If a number fails

If you enter a certification number and it does not return a result, do not assume the piece is inauthentic — NPIA records are updated periodically and there may be a lag.
Contact us at verify@rein.co with your order number and certification number. We will investigate and respond within 48 hours. If the piece is not certifiable, we will replace it or refund it in full.
